ragtime

Book by Terrence McNally    Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens    Music by Stephen Flaherty    Based on the novel "RAGTIME" By E. L. Doctorow

Set in the volatile melting pot of turn-of-the-century New York, three distinctly American tales are woven together: A stifled upper-class wife, a determined Jewish immigrant, and a daring Black Harlem musician are united by their courage, compassion, and belief in the promise of the future. Together, they confront history's timeless contradictions of wealth and poverty, freedom, and prejudice, hope and despair, and what it means to live in America. with Tony-winning score and a cast reflecting the diversity of our modern day, "Ragtime" is truly a unique and powerful portrait of America.

"Ragtime" is rated PG. The runtime is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes including a 15 minute intermission.
